Je continue de contester ta vision du standardbred.
Il n'est absolument pas programmé génétiquement pour s'auto-detruire à 5 ans. Il s'adapte aux systèmes de courses. Alors évidemment, pris à deux ans à courir hyper souvent (ce que seuls ils supportent) et dans des chronos déments, et quand le système de limite à ça et des courses point d'orgue à 3 ans, oui, ils sont "à point", mais déjà très argenté et vont au haras. Ailleurs qu'aux USA, c'est selon la philosophie de l'entraîneur et de certains systèmes...ils ont d'ailleurs le droit de courir jusqu'à 12 ou 14 ans et tu en vois avec largement plus de 100 courses au compteurs, des chronos pas dégueu, et des gains de 1 voire 2M. Généralement ils ne se sont pas cramés dans les groupes, ils n'en avaient pas le niveau mais au final le portefeuille est ok, le cheval est resté sain, et certains fournissent des étalons honnêtes que l'on ira chercher si l'on a cette philosophie.
Ce qui fait que malgré l'apport de SB tu as de TF de la nouvelle génération qui font des carrières comme à l'ancienne, chez Marmion, chez Laurent, chez Levesque. Discrets mais efficaces.
Un cheval est ce que l'on en fait en bonne partie si l'on part évidemment avec une race qui a les dispositions pour aller vite et demi fond à cette allure bipède diagonale moins naturelle que l'amble dans la faune sauvage.
Et pour l'amble...relis donc le papier de vulgarisation de l'INRAE sur le gène DMRT3. (Pas la pub synchrogait). Même si évidemment l'ambleur n'est pas l'avenir du trotteur 😉

Je jette l'éponge. La génétique est un potentiel. Pas une programmation fixe comme une machine à laver.
Oui les AC sont plus tardifs car il faut les mécaniser et qu'ils supportent moins de charge de travail jeune.
Mais ceux qui peuvent être précoces ne sont pas du tout périmés si on les mène comme des AC.
C'est juste la rentabilité qui fait etager les choses.

One Track avait un papa bien TF na na nère... Plus sérieusement, les gènes peuvent donner une spécificité. Lorsque vous fixez ces gènes, vous fixez les spécificités... Heureusement que certains SB peuvent vieillir mais ce n'est pas la globalité et je commence à voir notre race se rapprocher de plus en plus du modèle de carrière des étrangers ce qui est une connerie pour notre système de course qui repose sur les allocations !

L'important est j'en conclue là-dessus, c'est de bien garder notre gène C,.
L'important est de faire vivre les lignées mâles de Fandango (Vigove), Kerjacques (Prince Gédé), Quadrophénio (Orlando Vici) pour garder une diversité sur des étalons marquants non responsable today de la montée de la consanguinité.
