Come celebrate the release of Grumblewood's debut album 'Stories of Strangers'. An evening of flute, frets, and folk, with a bit of baroque, a bit of jazz, and a lot of rock.
Grumblewood is a quartet that hails from from Wellington and Kāpiti. Inspired by the electric folk and progressive rock movements of the early 70s, their music features flamboyant flute-work, creative fret-work, melodic grooves, and evocative tales of fortune and fable, daring and demise.
Signed to UK progressive rock label Gravity Dream, 'Stories of Strangers' was recorded, mixed, and mastered using only vintage analogue equipment and production techniques for that authentic early 70s sound.
